Michelle Hall

July 6, 1956 — September 20, 2022

Michelle Brenda Hall, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. She was born July 6, 1956 in Suffolk, VA to the late Ernestine and Fred Sloane and was the oldest of two siblings. Michelle spent her formative years in Brooklyn, NY where she graduated from Fort Hamilton High School and earned a BA degree from Old Westbury College in Long Island. However, some of her fondest childhood memories occurred in Suffolk, VA where she spent summers with a host of doting aunts, uncles, and cousins. Michelle married Claude Hall, the love of her life, on May 18, 1987 and they were inseparable for the next 35 years. Together, they lovingly raised their five children. It was clear to all that Michelle truly cherished her boys. Michelle knew and loved the Lord. She grew up in the church and, later in life, joined Allen African Methodist Episcopal Church in Queens, NY where she was a parishioner for over 15 years. There, she served on the Stewardess Board and participated in Sunday school. She began her professional career at Douglas Elliman Real Estate as a HR Specialist and was later promoted to Office Manager. She loved her profession and worked there for 22 years before retiring in March 2015. It was there she established a large work family and made lifelong friends. Michelle was an avid reader who spent hours reading her bible and mystery novels and was a connoisseur of gospel music. However, those who knew her best, know that her most prized pastime was being a phenomenal Boy Mom. We understand that life and death are in the power of God’s hands. We thank Him for the remarkable 66 years Michelle walked this earth. We rejoice knowing that she is at heavenly rest beside her beloved mother and mother-in-law. Michelle leaves her loving husband, Claude Hall; her aunt, Ruth Holland; her five sons: Mikhail, Christopher (Aisha), Cory, Claude, and Cameron Hall; her granddaughter, Aniya Hall; her brother, Michael Sloane; her niece, Rebecca Powell; her nephew, Nicholas Sloane; and many cousins and and friends to cherish her beautiful memory and legacy. Michelle will truly be missed. A public viewing will be held 2:00-4:00pm, Friday, October 7, 2022 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. A celebration of life will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, October 8, 2022 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. Mrs. Hall will be entombed at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
