Michael Anthony Brown

A beloved father Michael “Big Mike” Anthony Brown passed away on June 22, 2025, at the age of 68. Big Myke was born in Nansemond County on January 29, 1957. His childhood in Nansemond County consists of playing and watching sports, visiting friends, and playing video games. For those who knew Big Myke, knew of his kindness, generosity, caring soul who always helped those in need, and a devoted father who always loved and supported his children. He is survived by his loyal son Michael “Lil Myke” De’Andre Lawrence and his daughter-in-law Susan “Suki” Duong Lawrence of Newport News.

Big Mike and his wife of 35 years Beulah Lawrence first met while they were out with friends. Their mutual appreciation for attending social events and spending time with those they loved is what brought them together. Both Big Mike and Beulah were well loved by their family, friends as well as those in their community. Unfortunately, Beulah passed on April 9th of this year, and he was forever changed. Even though he will be greatly missed, we know that he has been reunited with Beulah and spending the rest of their days together in Paradise.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie H Brown, his mother, Wilma Anderson, and his brother Willie G Brown.  This is a private event so please reach out to his son Myke or daughter Suki if you would like an invitation to attend. Myke and Suki would like to express their sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
