Mary Alice Wilkins

Mary Alice Wilkins, 70, of Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Florida E. Wilkins and Hershey Wilkins. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Cleo Dildy, Mamie Fleetwood and Ida Belle Welch. She was a graduate of Gates County High School. She retired from Smithfield Packing Company after 20 years of faithful and dedicated service. She was a member of New Paul's Temple and sung in the Mass Choir her favorite song was It's your season. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Desire Wilkins of Suffolk; two sons, Marcus Wilkins and Vernon Mizzelle both of Suffolk; sister, Bettye Goodman; brother, William Wilkins; two grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be private and she will be laid to rest in Langston Family Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
