Margaret Louise Owens—White was born April 15, 1943, to the late James Wynn and Louise Wynn in Drivers, Va., where she received her education in the Nansemond school district. In 1959, she graduated from East Suffolk H.S.
In 1961, she traveled to New York with her sister/ Mildred Reese, and Bestie Mary (Nan) Hale, where they enjoyed having fun as single women on their own in the city, out of the country.
In 1969, Margaret and her bestie Mary decided to come back home to Virginia while Mildred stayed in New York. Shortly after she met and married Clifton Owens until their marriage was dissolved; in 1978, she married Jerry White, the Love of her Life where they lived in marital bliss until his death. She worked for Planters Peanut Factory for 25 years until retiring in 2010. Margaret better known as Margo is survived by her beloved sister Mildred (Eugene) Reese, niece Eugenia Reese, nephew Mark (Deidra) Reese, great nieces Tiffany Reese, LaChonne Reese, and Janay Reese-Smart, her great-great nephew Lamere Reese- Drones, Best Friend Mary (Nan) Hale, goddaughter Sherri' Hale, 3 step sons Tony, Jerry King and Jerry Jr, White, 2 brother-in-laws and 2 sister-in-laws, niece-in-law Lisa White and step grandkids Lavaris Jones and April (Kee Kee) Jones who was a great help to her after her two strokes and step great-grand children and a host of cousins and friends.
A public viewing will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2025, in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Crocker Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
