Mamie Elaine Richardson Griffin

Mamie Elaine Richardson Griffin (90), transitioned from her earthly home to her eternal Heavenly Home on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Mamie was a native of Nansemond County, VA, but lived most of her adult life in Hartford CT .

She was the daughter of the late James Matthew and Permilla Hite Richardson . She was also preceded in death by her three brothers and one sister (and sisters and brother –in -law, respectively), John Matthew Richardson, Lonnie Lee Richardson (Jean) ; and Arthur "Dickie" McKinley Richardson (Della) ; Ollie Estelle Richardson Hicks (Wallace) ; her Great Grandson, Von Griffin, Jr.; and Great Granddaughter, Mecca May Griffin .

She leaves “to cherish her memory” her daughters Phyllis Griffin and Sherry Jackson ; Grandchildren, Von Griffin (Clemese ) . Shakira Williams, Tiana Edwards, Javon Randolph, Ke'Anna Jackson, Shabria Jackson, Rayco Stephens, and Raychel Stephens ; 26 Great Grandchildren - with Brittany Perry being the eldest ; and a host of Great Great Grandchildren . She also leaves to cherish her memory Nieces, Sherry Scott (Angelo) ; Permilla Spratley (Michael) ; Barbara Ann Hodges (Lonnie) ; Betty Goodman ; Alvonda Savage (Carl) ; and Doris Neal, Nephews : Lonnie Richardson, James Richardson, Sr . (Cynthia) ; Donald Richardson ; Dennis Richardson (Elsie) and Fred Wallace Hicks (Andria); Sister –in -Law, Frances Richardson Smith ; and her Dearest Longtime Friend, Beverly Nelson.
