Louise Mildred Eure

Louise Mildred Eure, 93, transitioned Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, at her residence. She was born on May 10, 1925, in Seaboard, North Carolina to the late Jim and Babe Rodgers. Louise was educated in the North Carolina School System. She later relocated to Suffolk, Virginia where she worked and retired from Planters Peanut Company.Louise was preceded in death by her husband George Eure, her five sisters, Thelma Holland, Cora Holland, Sadie Eure, Virginia Johnson, and Vivian Ridley. Her three brothers, Albert Goode, Boston Goode, and Lawrence Rodgers. Also, two sons, Stanley and Johnny Darden. Louise is survived by her children, Larry D. Darden (Ellen), Lawrence E. Darden (Paula), Tyrone Darden, Cornelia Mayfield (Herman Sr.) and Vivian E. Hargrove (Kenny); 38 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one brother-in-law, Clarence Johnson Sr.; extended family and friends. A celebration of life service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at Crocker Funeral Home, 900 E. Washington St., Suffolk.
