Lonnie "Big Lonnie" Clinton Artis

Lonnie “Big Lonnie” Clinton Artis, 33, of Suffolk, Virginia transitioned July 18, 2022 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was the son of the late Patricia Ann Artis and Lonnie Harper. Besides his mother he was preceded in death by his grandmother Ernestine Mack. Lonnie was educated in Suffolk Public Schools and was a general contractor. He leaves to cherish his memories his father, Lonnie Harper; daughter, Deja Miles two sisters, Renee’ Harper and Laura Giles; brother, Robert Danner; a special friend, Jessica Chandler; special nephew, Michael Giles, Jr.; two devoted friends, Antoine Riddick and Laveal Myrick; a host of other friends and family. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m, Friday, August 5, 2022 at First Baptist Orlando Church. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Gardens.
