Lloyd Thomas Sharpe

Lloyd Thomas Sharpe, 78, of New York transitioned Friday, February 2, 2024. He was the son of the late James Sharpe, Sr. and Dora Sharpe. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings James Sharpe, Jr. and Mary Sharpe Whitaker,

He was a native of Suffolk, Virginia and after high school he relocated to New York. For over 30 years he was a faithful and dedicated employee of Upstate Medical University Hospital before retiring.  He enjoyed retirement being an avid golfer and bowler. His favorite football and baseball teams were the Chicago Bears and New York Nets. We will truly miss his laid-back, funny and adventurous spirit.

He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Terrance Sharpe (Vernicia) and Andre Johnson (Keisha); daughter, Sharonda Sharpe; siblings, Charlie Sharpe, William Sharpe and Larry Sharpe; two special nieces, Brenda Sharpe and Terry Riddick; a host of grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two special cousins, Linda and Debra Taylor.

A visitation with family will be held Monday, February 12, 2024 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Lloyd will be laid to rest in Little Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.
