Deacon Linwood U. Holland, 99, of South Quay Road, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Thursday, February 16, 2023 at his residence. He was a recipient of the Congressional Gold Medal and a Montford Point Marine WWII Veteran. A viewing will be held 1-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held noon, Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 4481 Butler Drive, Suffolk, Virginia 23437. Rev. L.
