Linwood I. Wiggins, Sr., 72, of Myrtle Avenue, Norfolk, Virginia transitioned Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was the son of the late Lucile Wiggins and Robert Lee Wiggins. He was a graduate of Southwestern High School and Aircraft Apprentice School. He retired after 30 years of faithful and dedicated service as a Refrigerator and air conditioner specialist/aircraft mechanic. He was a member of New Olive Branch Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Trustee Ministry. He leaves to cherish his memory his son Linwood I. Wiggins, Jr. (Latiesha); two sisters, Lillian Gaston of Suffolk, VA and Evelyn Roane (Ernest) of Maryland; brother, Phillip Wiggins of Portsmouth, VA; two grandchildren, Jaelin Wiggins and Lindon Wiggins of Portsmouth; two nephews, Michael Wiggins and James A. Gaston, III; two nieces, Tenesia Gaston-Ennis (Dewarren) and Sheena Wiggins; special friends, Jomarria Blue and The Smith Family; a host of other relatives and friends. A viewing will be held 12:00 p.m.-7 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2021 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in the Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in New Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, 9364 Gates Road, Suffolk, Virginia. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
