Linda was born on March 14, 1955, to the late Phillip H. Crocker, Sr. and the late Malinda G. Crocker. She was a native of Suffolk, VA. On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, she entered into eternal rest at Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, VA.
During her early years Linda attended Little Bethel Baptist Church in Suffolk, VA. She attended John Yeates High School, class of 1973, where she was member of the marching band and glee club.
Linda was a dedicated deli/bakery associate at the Walmart Supercenter (#1687), Suffolk, VA for 17 years. Prior to her time at Walmart, she worked at Gwaltney of Smithfield for 13 years. Linda was known for her lively sense of humor, caring demeanor, and big heart. She was always the life of the party and willing to help and support her family and friends in any way she could.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Alces L. Crocker and Phillip H. Crocker, Jr. Remaining to cherish her memory are the loves of her life daughter LaToya D. Crocker and son Jason L. Crocker, Sr., both of Newport News, VA; two sisters Barbara J. Riddick of Suffolk, VA, and Sylvia D. Edwards of Carrolton, VA; three brothers Randolph Crocker of Suffolk, VA, Lynard Crocker of Greenville, SC, and LaTroy S. Kigler of Suffolk, VA; six grandchildren, Joseph, Samiah, Zionna, Jason Jr., Jordyn, and Riley; special friend Aldrina Perry; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Linda’s memorial service will be held at 2 pm in the Crocker Funeral Home, Melvin J. Blowe Chapel, Suffolk, VA. Reverend Derrell Wade will be officiating. Interment to follow at the Carver Memorial Cemetery, Suffolk, VA.
