On Tuesday, July 14, 2026, Mr. Lewis Douglas, Jr. also known as "Timmy", departed this life peacefully and entered eternal rest. Born on February 23, 1962 in Suffolk, VA. Lewis grew up on Pitchkettle Road where he enjoyed the large area where he was able to play in the yard, football, basketball, making go-carts, flying his kite, and playing with friends throwing horse shoes. He really like to watch television and to read as well. Hew as a very quiet man. He had no problem with reaching out to help others. Lewis was a loving and kind person, who also loved to cook and serve others. He was an excellent extraordinary cook, and also really loved his automobiles in which he kept very clean. When you saw Lewis he was always carrying a wonderful smile and pleasing personality, with kind words to say to everyone.

After his confession of faith, Lewis was baptized and joined Beth's Mission Holiness Church under the leadership of the lat Pastor Ophelia B. Goodman. He continued to serve faithfully throughout the years. He attended Mt. Zion Elementary School, John F. Kennedy High and also went in the Job Corps. He was employed with Brown and Jordan Co. Inc. Suffolk, VA.

Lewis was predeceased by his parents, Wesley M. Douglas and Margie D. Keyes; siblings, Frosty Douglas, Lynell Douglas, George Douglas, Everlina Stephens.

He leaves to cherish his sons, Peire, Ricky and a daughter and grandchildren. His loving foster mom, Mrs. Patricia G. Brown and a very dear and a devoted friend, Ms. Rita Hunter; brothers, James Lee Douglas (Bessie), Henry Douglas, Wesley Douglas, George Douglas; sisters, Majorie Sparley (Jonny), May Douglas (Willis), Madeline Jenkins (Mike), Linda Douglas, Felicia White, Patricia Jones; other relatives, Mrs. Evelyn Brown of Wichita, Texas; Bishop Paige Pringle; Elder Linda Wright, Elder Bobby Goodman, Sr. (KaSandra) of Suffolk; special to his heart was his aunt, uncles, nieces, Nephews, cousins and friends. As Lewis took his journey through his earthly life, to the eternal life, we will miss his presence but knowing that he will find Peace and love that was prepared for him in his new home.

A celebration of life will be held 3:30 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2026 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2026 at Southview Cemetery in Franklin, Virginia. The family has entrusted Crocker Funeral Home with services rendered with dignity, compassion, and care.
