Lestine Stagg

Lestine Stagg, 74 of New York, NY., formerly of Suffolk, died Monday, April 27, 2020 at her residence after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Florine Wright-Stagg. Lestine was a 1967 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and retired from Law Enforcement in New York. She was a faithful member of Mt. Neboh Baptist Church in New York. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Eley Stagg Sr., Everett “Bubba” Stagg, Ellen Neal (Owen), O’Neal Blount and Rosa Boone. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons Craig Stagg(Tanya) and Keith Stagg, one brother LT Stagg(Elnora), one sister Doretha Beamon, one brother in-law Walter Blount Sr., two sister in-laws Pearl and Stella Stagg, one aunt Bertha Mae Powell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A viewing will be held from 1 to 7pm Wednesday, May 6, 2020 in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, May 7, 2020.
