Lesia Charlene Harris

February 13, 1963 — January 25, 2021

On January 25, 2021, Lesia heard God's call and she answered. She made that beautiful journey to Heaven to be reunited with her mother, father and infant grandson, Torrion. Lesia was the third child born to Charlie Henry and Obelia Lawrence Jr., who preceded her in death. Lesia was a caring, humble and loving person who did not have a bad bone in her body. Lesia was literally an angel here on earth and now in heaven. Lesia enjoyed her family and loved having family functions. She particularly enjoyed game night with her children, grandchildren and son and daughter-in-law. Lesia also enjoyed spending time with her siblings; though she did not like to travel, she would, just to spend time with them and enjoy their company. She was a very loving and simplistic woman; she wasn't hard to please. She was dedicated to anything she was involved in and she prided herself on being punctual. Lesia's siblings described her as being a kind spirit, compassionate, angelic presence, patient, a special sister, a best friend, peaceful, loving and a gentle flower. Lesia had a smile that could brighten your day and make you smile right along with her. She was a mom, a grandmother, a sister, a friend, and a protector. Lesia was employed with Independence Square as a consultant until she went home to be with the Lord. Those left to cherish her memories are her son William Davon Lang (LaTorya)of Suffolk, VA; daughter, TaLesia Smith (Victor) of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Toriona, Zaivon, TiYani, Rylan, Ariyann and Kaden; brothers, Michael Harris of Jarratt, VA, Breon Pearson of Suffolk, VA, Dwight Gwaltney of Suffolk, VA; sisters, Shildia Bond (Clarence) of Lewiston, NC, Marvis Harris of Suffolk, VA, Deveda Boone (Wayne) of Chesapeake, VA., Deborah Morris of Suffolk, VA; a special friend, James "Leo" Drew; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Viewing will be held noon-6 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Crocker Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2021 in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
