Leroy McCoy Skinner

Leroy McCoy Skinner was born on January 15, 1952 in Suffolk VA born to the late William Lawrence and Mary Skinner. Leroy McCoy Skinner was called home on August 31, 2023 at Sentra Obici Hospital. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son Warren Chapman. Leroy was a dedicated Brick Mason for over 30 plus years. He attended Suffolk Public Schools. Leroy enjoyed being around family and friends, expressing his love to them in his own unique way. He was full of life and laughter. He will truly be missed by all that knew him. There was never a dull moment around him. If you were feeling down, he knew just the right words to lift your spirit and put a smile on your face. He leaves to cherish his memories his sister/caregiver - Cynthia Thompson (Leroy) Lavern Tumbling - sister, Evonne Lawrence (sister), Lou Lawrence (sister), Larry Skinner - brother (Rhonda), Fletcher Skinner - brother, Tyrone Skinner - brother (Gloria), Barry Skinner (brother), Andre Skinner (brother) William Lawrence Jr (brother), Kevin Lawrence (brother), Vernell Lawrence (brother) Micey Lawrence (brother) and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023 at New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries. He will be laid to rest in Holly Lawn Memorial Gardens.
