Lemuel Demonte Britt

Celebrating the Life of Mr. Lemuel D. Britt Sr.

Mr. Lemuel D. Britt was born on July 30, 1973, to loving parents, Belinda Britt and Jose Q. Skeeter, in Suffolk, Va. Each step along D's journey taught discipline and striving. He was educated in the Suffolk and Portsmouth, VA, school systems. After life detours, D had a thrust for learning, and he received several certificates of completion, some were Personal Care Aide course, CNA training under Hampton Roads Nursing careers and training center. He actively worked until COVID-19; to safeguard his own health, he stopped. Graduated from Tidewater Tech Building Maintenance and Repair (2014), with Welding and Auto Mechanics.

Lemuel was a Dialysis patient from the age of 19 until his passing at 52 years old. D loved sports, being a Dallas Cowboys fan, music, skiing, fishing, baseball, crabbing, and his family.

Lemuel was preceded in death by his father, Jose Q. Skeeter (1998), and son Lemuel DJ. Britt Jr. (2024), sister, Glenda Skeeter (2005), sister, Demetrius "Toni" Skeeter (2018), niece, Destiny Skeeter (2021), grandfather, Clifton M. Brown Sr (1980), grandfather, George Britt (1984)

Left to cherish memories of D are, his mother Belinda Skeeter, daughter Eboni Porter (Princess), granddaughter Mazani, grandmother Mrs. Mary Brown-Hankerson, niece Tianna Johnson and nephew's Trovell Massenburg and Sincere Skeeter, Aunt Ellen Britt Johnson, Uncle Tyree Brown (Margorie), Clifton Brown Jr., James Brinkley and devoted father figure Larry Archie and many other family members and friends, recognizing Demetrious Williams and George Jones and others.

A viewing will be held 3-7 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2025, at Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2025, in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
