Leffery Lonell Holliman

August 14, 1959 — June 14, 2021

Leffery Lonell Holliman, 61, of 607 Matthews Court, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Monday, June 14, 2021 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of the late Arthur N. Holliman, Sr. and Virtley O. Holliman. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Willie Joe Holliman. He attended Windsor High School in 1978 where he played the Tuba in the marching band. He worked as an ESD Tech III at Sentara Obici Hospital for 20 years. When his health began to fail, he retired in November of 2018. He was a member of Holy Ground Temple of Deliverance, where he sung in the adult choir. Leffery was known for his many nicknames due to being such a comedian; such as "Neckbone" and "Left Foot". He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Donna L. Holliman, of 33 years; two daughters, LaKeshia Holliman and Rasheeda Holliman, both of Suffolk; two sons, Travas Holliman and Quayshaun Holliman of Portsmouth; three sisters, Charleine Lassiter (Shelton), Shelia Warren and Ruth Williams all of Suffolk; three brothers, Arthur Holliman, Jr. of Suffolk, Jeffery Holliman of Windsor and Harvey Holliman (Sharon) of Suffolk; aunts, Eunice Copeland, Bessie Spratley, Aretha Minggia all of Suffolk, Ethel Whitfield of Windsor, VA, Louise Whitehead of Chesapeake, VA; uncles, Larry Jordan of Suffolk and William Jordan of Maryland ; 8 grandchildren, Je'vonte, Tatianna, Aniyah, Ta'Marion, Da'Vion, Noah, Naomi and Kaiden; six sisters-in-law, Louise Smith, Monica McLeod, Janeeny Wilson, Regina Cofer, Deirdre Sawyer and Terri Sawyer; two brothers-in-law, Kenny Chapman and Donny Chapman; a special son, Kelton Dildy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. A viewing will be held 1-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held noon, June 23, 2021 at Piney Grove Baptist Church. He will be laid to rest in the Crocker Funeral Home section of Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
