Lawrence O. Tucker

Lawrence O. Tucker, 62, of N. Capital Street, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Monday, November 15, 2021 at Accordius Health at Nansemond Pointe. Lawrence was one of six children born to the late Flossie Beatrice Almond and the late Oceris Tucker on July 21, 1959. Lawrence showcased his talents by working as a skilled engineer for many years. He also was an avid sports fan, dedicating his love of football as a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings. The art of Karate was another one of his favorite pastimes. In addition to his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by his sister, Beatrice Tucker Rucker; and a brother, James Tucker. Lawrence leaves to cherish his memories and carry on his legacy two daughters, Dalecia and Erica White; three granddaughters, DeShaylaa Rivers, Nevaeh White, and Brenaejah White; six grandsons, Raequan Mizell, Amod Mizell, Ikeem Coleman, Mandocous Rivers, Savion Mason, and Louwaanjae Newland; three brothers, Frank Tucker, Timothy Tucker, and Melvin Tucker, 20 nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
