Larry Butler, 58, of Pitchkettle Road, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Friday, September 25, 2020 at his residence. Larry was the son of Huley Butler and Pauline Butler and the sixth of fourteen children. Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Raliegh Dowdy, Jr. He attended Suffolk Public School (Suffolk High School). He was employed with Mr. Maurice Milteer and was a very good Handyman, a Jack of all trade in the neighborhoods of Boston and Williamstown. He leaves to cherish his memory his siblings, Wanda Britt( William), Clara Weaver (Albert), Jennette Artis (Stanley), Huley Butler, III (Paulette), Clyde Butler, Timothy Copeland (Paula), Paulette Wiggins (Harvey), Anthony Stephenson, Annette Butler Banks (Dawain Frazier), Michael Butler, Sandra Arrington (Carter), Mary Holliman (Isahe), Bobby Stephenson and Rodney Eure; numerous relatives and friends. A candlelight vigil will be held at 7 p.m. October 1, 2020 at Williamstown Corner Store (The Hill). A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2020 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. Elder Harvey Wiggins will officiate and Prophetess Paulette Wiggins will deliver the message of comfort. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends will be received at 2100 Kentucky Avenue. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
