Larry Bernard Almond

Larry Almond, 68, of 1114 Lake Kennedy Dr., Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Tuesday, November 56, 2018 at his residence. He is the son of the late Allean Almond and Staley Cotton besides the parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Charles Almond. He was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and Paul D. Camp Community College. He retired from Suffolk, Public Schools after many years of faithful and dedicated service. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Gaynell W. Almond of Suffolk; three daughters, Buffie A. Finley (Lydell) and Paul Almond both of Prince George’s County, MD, and Anika Inman (Nicholas) of Conyers, GA; son, Larry Rashawn Almond of Suffolk; sister, Denise Cole (Larry) of Suffolk; brother, Clarence Dexter Jones. ; three grandchildren, Tahj Faulk, Gracyn Inman, and Jordan (J.T) Scott; aunts, Marjorie Allmond, Alice Manley, Shirley Branch, and Sandra Almond Cooper; sister-in-law, Irene Lowther and Joan Almond; brothers-in-law, Stanley Wilson and Lee Wilson; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Rising St. James P.H.C. Rev. Robert A. Wilkins will deliver the message of comfort. He will be laid to rest in Albert G.
