Laquette "Angel" Chante Wilson

LaQuette' "Angel" Chante' Wilson, 40, of Suffolk, transitioned Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Shirley E. Wilson and Charlie Brooks. Besides her mother she was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Wilson. She was a graduate of Nansemond River High School and was currently working at Lipton Tea as a Machine Operator and also worked at QVC for 13 years. She grew up in Gates of Heaven where she first learned of God and she was also affiliated with Rising St. James Church.  Angel leaves to cherish her memory, her father, Charlie Brooks; two daughters, Cynporia Goodwyn and Tayjah Goodwyn; son, Ricky Goodwyn, Jr; four sisters, Michelle Hzley, Yolander Allen, Tameka Briggs, and Delores Allen; five brothers, Andrea Wilson, Fernando Wilson, Lee Wilson, Terence Wilson, and Kelvin Hargrove; a special friend, Vernon; two sisters-in-law, Kim Wilson and Belinda Artis; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Rising St. James Church, 201 N. 6th Street, Suffolk. Rev. Robert Wilkins will deliver the message of comfort. She will be laid to rest in the Crocker Funeral Home section of Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will be receiving guest at 219 Smith Street, Suffolk, Virginia.
