LaCurtis V. Jones

LaCurtis V. Jones, 68, of Karen Drive, New Bern, NC transitioned Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center. He was the son of the late Lillian Banks Jones and Sidney Jones II. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Sidney Jones III, Leon Jones and Jackie Jones. He attended John F. Kennedy High School in Suffolk and retired from MCAS Cherry Point in 2008 after numerous years of faithful and dedicated service. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Vita Renee Jones of Virginia Beach; son, LaCurtis V. Bynum (Monique) of Brooklyn, NY; sister, Brenda Y. Diggs of Suffolk, VA; brother, William Jones, Sr of Suffolk, VA; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a special friend Lula Hudson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Rev. Sharon Y. Jones will deliver the message of comfort.
