Kimberly Wiggins Artis

Kimberly Wiggins Artis, 44, of S. Main Street, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Thursday, November,26,2020 at her residence. She was the daughter of Jean Wiggins Riddick and Ellery L. Wiggins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Mamie Wiggins and Lee Herman and Lula Mae Wiggins; uncles, Russell Lee Wiggins, John E. Wiggins and Rev. William D. Wiggins, Sr. She was a graduate of Lakeland High School and received her CNA certificate and a Cosmetology certificate. She was employed with Unique Total Design Salon and Suites for a period of years. She worked in hair and Cosmetology for over 20 years. Kimberly was also the Co-Founder of Paint Me Perfectly Pink (Breast Cancer Organization). She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Vernon M. Artis; parents, Jean Wiggins Riddick (Kaseen Riddick, Sr. stepfather) of Gates, NC and Ellery L. Wiggins; two daughters, D'Ericka Artis of Suffolk, VA and Dymond Artis of Hampton, VA; three sons, Mont Artis of Suffolk, VA, Kavion Artis and Kaiden Artis both of Chesapeake, VA; mother and father in-law, James and Barbara Smith; step grandparents, Thomas and Esther Riddick of Gates, NC; sister, Coretta Manley of Portsmouth, VA; four brothers, Kaseen Riddick, Jr of Elizabeth City, NC, Ellery Wiggins, Jr, Lamonte Wiggins and Gregory Wiggins all of Clarksville, TN; stepbrother, Kamahl Johnson; grand daughter, Makylar Kimberly Artis; aunts, Beulah Wiggins, Rosa Wiggins, Mary Ann Wiggins, Sheryl Wiggins, Sylvia Wiggins of Suffolk, VA, Violet West of Mt. Rainer, MD, Cynthia Wiggins, Linda Sorey (like an aunt), Robin McKenny (like an aunt); uncles, George T. Wiggins, Clifton Jones and Leon Wiggins; BFF and like a sister, Tamiko Williams; devoted Cousins, Kimberly Johnson and Vicki Wiggins of Gates, NC; sister-in-law, Bridgette Harris; brothers-in-law, James M. Smith, Walter Artis and Chuck Harris all of Suffolk, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, great nephews, other relatives and friends. A viewing will be held 12-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held noon, Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Carver Memorial Cemetery, 2320 E. Washington Street, Suffolk, VA.
