Kevin Nathaniel Knight, Sr.

October 10, 1955 — August 10, 2025

Mr. Kevin Nathaniel Knight, Sr., "Night Hawk," beloved father, grandfather, and devoted man of faith, entered into eternal rest on August 10, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and dedication.

A proud of graduate of Norfolk State University, Mr. Knight dedicated over 40 years of hard work and skilled service to the Newport News Shipyard Engineering Department. Known for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and warm spirt, he earned the respect of his colleagues and friends throughout his career.

His life was deeply rooted in faith as a devoted member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a trustee, choir member, and Sunday School Superintendent. Through these roles, he touched countless lives, sharing his wisdom, compassion, and joy in the Lord.

Kevin's greatest pride was his family. He was the loving father of three sons: Kevin Jr., Kyle, and Justin, and a proud grandfather who never missed an opportunity to cheer them on at their sporting events. A lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, he bought the same loyalty and ethusiasm to the stands as he did to every aspect of his life.

He will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his commitment to family, his love of music and fellowship, and his steadfast support for those he loved. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the lives he touched.

Kevin leaves to cherish his memories three sons, Kevin Knight, Jr., Kyle Knight, and Justin Knight; two grandchildren, Cianni Long and Kevin Knight III; two brothers, Nathaniel Boone and Calvin Boone (Hazel); four sisters, Phyllis Alston, Khadija Abdullah, Najwa Speight, and Jackie Boone; one surviving uncle, Lindwood Faulk (Merline); two aunts, Ellen Brown and Mary Virginia Boone; one sister-in-law, Shirley Boone; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A public viewing will be held 3-6pm, Sunday, August 17, 2025 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel. A celebration of life will be held 12 Noon, Monday, August 18, 2025 at Piney Grove Baptist Church. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
