Kermit K. Williams, Sr.

Kermit Keesee Williams born June 23, 1942, passed away January 29, 2022. He was a Navy Veteran. He graduated from South Hampton County Training School. His apprenticeship was completed at Tidewater Community College. He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard with 26 years of experience. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 53 years, Faye D. Williams; children Andria L. Williams, Linda D. Edwards, Kermit K. Williams Jr., grandchildren Sherika Jones, Janelle D. Brown, Calvin L. Edwards Jr., Deja L. Edwards, Samuel Body III, Kayla Edwards, Malia Edwards, great-grandchildren Kaleb Edwards, Christopher Brown Jr., Greyson Brown, Samuel Body IV, Zayla Body, Caveal Brown. Siblings Johnnie Williams Jr and spouse Lavonne Williams, Shelton Williams, Sandra Gaskins and deceased spouse Gary Gaskins, Calvin Williams, Wanda Hughes, Frieda Cason, and spouse Minister DeWayne Cason, Andre Sharrod Williams. Deceased parents Johnnie Thomas Williams and Irene Turner Williams. Deceased siblings Jacqueline Ware, Joan Wilson, Larry Williams. A host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles. A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022 at East End Baptist Church, 1056 Portsmouth Blvd, Suffolk, VA 23434. He will be laid to rest in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
