Kayla Faye Hiegl

Kayla Faye Hiegl, 24, of Long Bridge Way, Newport News, Virginia transitioned October 10, 2019 in Hampton, Virginia. She was the daughter of Alicia Hiegl. Kay was a graduate of Kings Fork High School and she matriculated to Tidewater Community College where she majored in Business. She worked for Ibex Global where she was a manager. She attended Mt. Ararat Church periodically with family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Alicia Hiegl of Portsmouth; two sisters, Tia Reid of Newport News and Tiara Porter of Newport News; grandmother, Karen Hiegl; very close friends, Destinie Rountree-Manuel, Jasmine McWarren, Frentrell Bratcher, Taylor Thomas, Joshua Gandy, Louis Lynch, April Young, Faith Jackson, LeRico Kearney, Dalton Delaespriella, Esmond Calvin, Marvin Gabriel, Michela Bowie, DonovanDarity, and Merrion Raboteau. A candlelight vigil will be held 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Mt. Ararat Christian Church, 1860 Airport Road, Suffolk, Virginia 23434. Rev. Renee Reid will deliver the message of comfort.
