Karlton "Chuckie"Antonio Arline, 29, transitioned Friday, July 01, 2022. He was born in Suffolk, VA on July 09, 1992, to Altovise Johnson and Karl Arline. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Henry Fulgham, cousin Ke’Mari Davis and uncle Michael Spruill. He was affectionately known as Chuckie, which was a name given to him from his Nana, Rose Boone, because he was always into something. Karlton attended S.H. Clarke Academy where he received his GED. During his career he was employed at Jones Enterprise. Chuckie had a smile that would light up any dark room and a laugh that could be heard no matter where he was. He loved to laugh and could make anyone laugh. He was SPOILED ROTTEN by everyone especially his Aunt Dee, which was his second mom. Instead of being a nephew he was more like a little brother to his Aunt Tip, Aunt Cocoa, Aunt Ebony, Uncle Teddy, and most definitely his Uncle Ton who all contributed greatly to the big heart he had. He loved his family deeply and was a family man. His kids, Taylor, Kali, and mother and grandparents were his world and that world revolved around him and Mont. He took being a big brother seriously and was always pushing his siblings to be their best. As an uncle he would get his nieces and nephews because “Uncle Chuck loves the kids”. Karlton leaves to cherish his fondest memories, a fiancé, Shayla Jones; two daughters, Taylor Smith and Kali Arline; one son, Kyren Jones, and also expecting a child; parents, Altovise Johnson of Concord, NC and Karl Arline(Audrey) of Suffolk, VA, stepfather Byron Parson of Suffolk, VA ; Grandparents; Fred and Rose Boone, David Jones (Teresa), Catherine Arline and Uylese Wetford, Siblings; Kaleb Stephenson, Keziah Johnson Parson, Kartoria Arline, Karlicia Lawrence, Tashawn White, Montinus Artis, De’Agja Wilburn, DeKarie Mason, Pasion Arline, Karl Arline Jr., and Demetrius Arline; Aunts, Laforya Fulgham, Ebony Jones, Deja Jones, Vonetta Fulgham, Tiffany Johnson, Gwen Wetford, and Danielle Beale; Uncles, Henry Bennett, David Jones Jr., Shaymon Owens, Tony Arline, LeVar Johnson, Charles Jones, and Henry Barnes ;Nieces and Nephews, Admire Lawrence, Ahleah Cotton, Ariyah Chapman, Aceon Chapman, and Jahmir Arline; a special friend Shayla Jones; Godmother Stephanie Lassiter and a host of other family and friends. A public viewing will be held 3-6pm, Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. A celebration of life will be held 12:00 noon, Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Balm Church East Campus. Bishop A.S. Hall, Sr. will deliver the message of comfort. Karlton will be interred in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family is requesting no cell phones/pictures be permitted at the viewing and funeral service.
