Kamon Monta "Fatmon" Elliott

Kamon Monta Elliott, age 26, of Suffolk, Virginia, transitioned on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother, Precious J. Elliott (September 17, 2021); his grandmother, Maryann Elliott (September 23, 2001); his grandfather, Clarence Knox; as well as his paternal grandparents, Howard Louis Cooley, Shelley Cooley Richardson, and Aunt Lillie Mae Elliott, all of Suffolk.

Kamon found profound joy and purpose in his role as a father to his daughters. His family and friends were of utmost importance to him, especially his cousin, with whom he cherished countless hours of companionship. Known in the rap community as "Fatmon," Kamon enjoyed free-styling and spending time with his closest friends.

A gentle and affectionate spirit, Kamon's warm presence drew others in. His infectious laugh and radiant smile had the unique ability to uplift those around him. His kindness and willingness to lend a helping hand will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

Kamon is survived by his father, Michael Cooley; two daughters, Summer Wiggins of Suffolk, VA, and Ivyonna Elliott of Texas; three siblings, Kapraquia Maryann Elliott, Kamri Johnson, and Tanisha Hunter, all of Suffolk, VA; his fiancée, Quatasia Johnson of Suffolk, VA; two nieces, Karmora Elliott and Kacey Elliott; and a host of aunts and uncles, including Joanne Garrison (Rodney), Thomasine Ferguson (Brian), Debra Turner, Patricia Rodgers (Milton) of Wilson, NC; and Leon Cooley, Alan Cooley, Earl Cooley (LaKeta), Dominique Cooley, and Chris Ellis.

A viewing is scheduled for Monday, September 29, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will take place at noon on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, in the same location. Kamon will be laid to rest in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
