Joyce O. Diggs

Joyce O. Diggs, 66, transitioned Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was the daughter of Mable Hucks and the late Charles Eley. Besides her father she was preceded in death by her aunts Lula Mae Cary and Johnrene Cary and grandmother, Marie Hux. She retired in 2012 from Management for Burger King after serving faithfully for numerous years. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Larry Diggs, Sr. of Ivor, VA; two daughters, LaTonya Smothers (Darrin, Sr.) and Lawanda Diggs; son, Larry Diggs, Jr.; three sisters, Shawanda Gwaltney (Karl) of Ivor, VA, Marnita Hucks and Claudine Tunstall (Stanley) of Springfield, VA; two brothers, Gregory Hucks, Sr. (Sharon) and Johnnie Hucks, Sr. (Jeanette); three grandchildren; two aunts, Claudia Hucks and Gladys Uzzle; a host of other relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Davis Cemetery, Ivor.
