Joyce Moore, born on February 9, 1961, in Southampton County, Virginia, was the beloved daughter of Robert and Luezene Moore. She peacefully transitioned from this life on [Date of Passing], leaving behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and service to others.
Joyce was educated in the Suffolk Public School System and proudly graduated from Suffolk High School, Class of 1979. Following her graduation, she was inspired by her mother’s example and enrolled in the Obici School of Nursing. In 1990, Joyce began a medical career that would span over 30 years—a career marked by excellence, dedication, and heartfelt care.
Throughout her time in the nursing field, Joyce was known not only as a skilled and compassionate nurse but also as a treasured colleague. Her commitment to her patients earned her several honors, including the prestigious Nurse of the Year award in 1993. Joyce’s warm spirit and tireless devotion made her a favorite among coworkers and patients alike.
After retiring, Joyce embraced the joys of family life, finding her greatest happiness in the presence of her loved ones. Whether sharing laughter at family gatherings or offering support to those in need, she continued to touch lives with her nurturing heart.
Joyce leaves to cherish her memory her son, Cameron; daughter, Chelsea; and three beloved grandchildren: Cailen, Yamir, and Bella. She is also survived by her sisters, Robin (Anthony) and Kimberly; brothers, Robert (Regina) and Shawn; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever remember her love, kindness, and unwavering strength.
