Joyce Yvonne Harper

Joyce Yvonne Harper transitioned to heavenly rest on June 13, 2026. Born on August 10, 1963 to Howard Lee Harper Sr. and Mae Queen Hill Harper in Southampton County, Va. She graduated from Suffolk High School in 1981. Joyce was currently employed with QVC, Suffolk for 32 years.

Joyce is preceded in death by her father Howard Lee Harper Sr., her Grandfather Samuel M. Hill Sr. and Grandmother Queen Esther Smith Hill. 2 Aunts, Catherine Jones and Constance Hill, and uncle, Samuel M. Hill Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Bryan Scott Wilburn (Chantel), 2 grandchildren, Bryson and Kaidaynce Wilburn. 2 Brothers, Howard Lee Harper Jr. and Oran D. Harper (Evinle), 2 Sisters, Petula E. Harper and Quineake Jones (Michael), a niece Danielle P. Harper. 1 uncle, Roosevelt Jones. Along with a host of cousins and extended family.

Joyce was very gifted in artistry, painting, and drawing portraits. She was a loving person who loved children and pets. She will be missed tremendously by family, friends and coworkers.

Her viewing and reflections will be on Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 3-7pm at Crocker Funeral Home, 900 E. Washington St., Suffolk, VA 23434. The family has entrusted Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. with services rendered with dignity, compassion, and care.
