Joseph Littlejohn Broughton, Jr., 61, of Pamlico Circle, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Wednesday, April 15, 2020. Joseph was a 1976 graduate of Suffolk High School and went on to graduate from Norfolk State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in English. During his early years, Joseph attended Metropolitan Baptist Church. Joseph was employed by Verizon for many years before his retirement. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph Broughton, Sr. and Gertie Mae Littlejohn Broughton, a sister Ruth Stancell and brother Andrew Littlejohn. Joseph leaves to cherish his memory, his Aunt Elizabeth Littlejohn Pitt, devoted cousin, Tonya Pitt Staab, nephew Carlos A.
