Joseph "Jo Jo" Jordan, Jr.

Celebrating the Life of Joseph “Jo Jo” Jordan Jr.Joseph “Jo Jo” Jordan Jr., formerly of “Hollywood,” transitioned on Sunday, August 2, 2026. He was born on October 6, 1954. Joseph was a proud graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. During his high school years, he was an outstanding basketball player and also became a lifeguard. His love of sports continued throughout his life, particularly his passion for football. Jo Jo was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching games with his family and friends.

Joseph had a joyful spirit and a deep appreciation for music. He especially cherished singing and dancing with his grandchildren, creating precious memories that will remain with them for years to come.Joseph began his career in construction and dedicated many years to his profession. He worked with Triangular Ascension LLC, where he specialized in concrete and took pride in his work.

Though Joseph has transitioned from this earthly life, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the lives he touched will continue to live on. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Preceded in Death Joseph was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Joseph Jordan Sr. and Rosa Mae Collins Jordan; his grandparents, Haywood Jordan and Reconstance Jordan; and his brothers, Floyd Collins, Larry Jordan, and Thomas Lee Collins.

Parker of Suffolk, VA Sister: Gwendolyn Jordan of Smithfield, VA Brother: Edward Collins of Suffolk, VA Grandchildren: Janita Parker of Newport News, VA; Jameka Parker of Suffolk, VA; special grandson Jaylan Parker of Newport News, VA; and Ariyahna Cheeks of Richmond, VA Great-grandchildren: Allayah Parker and Brielle Holland Aunts: Clementine Scott of Bridgeport, CT; Mary Wilson; Erlene Sellars of Suffolk, VA; and Louise Adams of Windsor, VA Uncle: Otis Collins Sr. of Suffolk, VA Special Cousin: Dennis Carter of Hampton, VA Special Good Friend: Larry “La La” Almond He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 2p.m. in the Melvin Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. The family has entrusted Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. with services rendered with dignity, compassion, and care.
