On August 30, 2025, Johnny Carlson Boone Jr., a native of Suffolk, Virginia, stepped into eternity boundless potential. He was the son of Johnny Boone Sr. and the late Jeanette Boone (of Suffolk). Johnny Jr., as most of us called him, will truly be missed. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School and served in the US Navy for a short time. Johnny was a man with a heart full of love and spirit that ignites positivity. He danced for the Lord and shared his faith with infectious enthusiasm wherever he went.
Johnny Jr., as a young boy, attended Mt. Lebanon COGIC under the Elder Larry Gray Sr. In his later years, he became a member of Reachout Apostolic Church under the tutelage of Bishop Lorenzo Hall, where he was ordained an Elder of the church, located in Martinville, Virginia.
Johnny loved people and loved to help in any capacity. He started a weekly home-based Bible study and an outreach program called Kingdom Builders Christian Outreach, where he would get fruit baskets made for the sick and shut-in, deliver them while praying and ministering the word of God to them. Johnny believed the Bible the only infallible written word of God with his whole heart. Johnny had an encouraging word for everyone he came across and a scripture for whatever situation you are going through.
Johnny Boone Jr. is preceded in death by his mother, the late Missionary Jeanette Boone, Brother the late Carey Wright Sr, and sister the late Athalia Wright. His memory will live on through his father, Johnny Boone Sr., three sisters, Carmen Hall (Roderick), Lillian Green (Donald), Yvonnedria Boone all of Suffolk, Va., and one sister in love, Darlene Wright of Portsmouth, Va. A host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephew, Cousin, and Friends.
