John K. Goffigan, Jr.

John Keith Goffigan, Jr. was born in Suffolk, VA on October 6, 1957 to the late Lillie and John K. Goffigan, Sr. He departed this life on March 25, 2025 at his residence.

John was preceded by his siblings, Linda Brown and Ernest L. Brown, and his brother-in-laws, Eley Stagg, Jr., Henry Stagg, and Ricky Stagg.

John graduated from Suffolk High High School as a member of the class of 1976. He retired from Newport News Shipbuilding with 44 years of service. He was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Ida Goffigan, his children; Tiffanie Goffigan (Corey), John K. Goffigan, III, Jermaine Goffigan, Latoya L. Stagg and Sean Powell, a loving mother-in-law; Pearl Stagg and sisters; Glennis Ruffin (Wayne), Joan Jones (Bishop Arthur Jones), Valerie Barrett (Birdee), Regina Goffigan-Odom (Fidel), fourteen grandchildren and one great grand, sister-in-law; Angela Stagg and Brother-in-law; Everett Stagg (Roni), a loving and devoted niece Latoyia Batten and a host of nephews, nieces, dear friends and a very special friend Rick Morris.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 3, from 4 to 7 p.m. A service will be held on Friday, April 4, at 12 noon, in the Mausoleum Chapel of Carver Memorial Cemetery.
