Joe Lewis Saunders

Joe Saunders, 63, transitioned Saturday, July 2019 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was the son of the late Ethel Lee Saunders and Eugene Saunders. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ella Lousie Eason and Barbara Saunders, and one brother, Eugene Saunders. He retired from Nansemond Cold Storage after 20 years of faithful and dedicated service. He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Christopher Riddick of Suffolk; brother, Alvin Saunders; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2019 in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
