Joe Willie Hall

Joe Willie Hall, 77 years old of Suffolk, Virginia transitioned on August 19, 2025 at Nansemond Pointe. Joe is predeceased in death by his father Henry B. Hall, mother Mary E. Hall, three sisters Dorothy Ruffin, Mary Beasley and Annie Stroud; seven brothers Bailey Hall, Edward Hall, Clinton Hall, William Hall, Fred Hall, Vernon Hall and James Hall.

He retired from Art Ray Construction Company after 30 + years of service and he worked on the farm the majority of his life. He was an avid machine driver and could drive a bulldozer like driving a car.

Joe leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife of 57 years, Regina Hall, a brother McCray Hall (Ann), two daughters raised since birth Apostle Dr. Tonya Watkins Spruill (Leon), and Tinisha Peggins; a son, Jerome Walker, two nieces Quanisha and Kinisha Watkins, nephew Pierre’ Watkins, five great great nieces Talia Watkins, Taniyah Beale, QuaMani, QuaMelia and Essence Watkins, two great great nephews Caleb Peggins and Daerion Carr, one great great great niece, Kaomi Watkins. A very special niece Jackie Hall; three special nephews Terry Stroud Jr., Darrell Hall Stroud, Tavarus Gray (B) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at East End Baptist Church. He will be laid to rest in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home ,Inc.
