Jeston Howell

On March 5, 2024, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Jeston Howell affectionately known as (Beaver) departed his life at Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, Virginia. He worked at Birdsong Peanut Company for over 10 years until his untimely death. He enjoyed the outdoors and would make anyone laugh if you were in his present. 

He was born on December 23, 1963, to the late Jeston and Betty Rose Wiggins in Nansemond County.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 24 years Vicky Howell of Suffolk, Virginia; his two daughters Jalissa Newby (James), and Shaquana Newby both of Suffolk, Virginia; three sisters, Betty Keys, Rita Beamon (Ronald) and Tonya Whitley (Chorey) all of Suffolk, Virginia; three brothers, Anthony Wiggins (Sabrina), Stephen Wiggins (Geneice) and Christopher Wiggins (Joyce) all of Suffolk, Virginia; three aunts, Mildred Cooper of Gates, North Carolina, Eva Odell White and Regenia Peterson (James) both of Suffolk, Virginia; three uncle, Lloyd Wiggins ( Mary), James Al Wiggins (Martha) both of Suffolk, and Manuel Wiggins (Diane) of Drum Hill, North Carolina; one great aunt Evelyn Collins of Suffolk, Virginia; mother-in-law Margaret P. Newby; four bother-in-law Vinson Newby, John Newby, Don Newby and Willie Brown all of Suffolk, Virginia; three sister-in-law Judy Wiggins, Sabrina Norfleet and Margaret A. Newby all of Suffolk; five grandchildren Jakiya,  Za’Riyah, and Amya Newby-Sykes, and Jaiden and Alisa Newby Boddie all of Suffolk, Virginia; a devoted friend Al Sylvester Vaughn; host of nieces, nephew, cousins and other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 125 County Street, Suffolk, Virginia 23434. The Rev. Dr. Trina Jones will deliver the message of comfort. He will be laid to rest in Howell Family Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
