Jermaine "J-Jerk" or "Jay"Brock,35, of Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Monday, December 13, 2021 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was born November 3, 1986 in Suffolk, Virginia to Richard Brock, Sr. and Paulette Wiggins. Jermaine attended Kings Fork High School and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Jermaine loved to bring joy to those around him and helping those in need. Amongst his family and friends, he was known as the life of the party and jokester. His contagious smile and laughter could lighten up any room. Jermaine was a dedicated father to his sons they were his life, heart and world. He loved his family especially his nieces, nephews and cousins. Jermaine loved music, singing and overall having a great time. .He was free spoken, beautiful person both inside and outside with a heart of Gold. Jermaine stated a month ago "I'm changing, getting myself together". Jermaine couldn't see no-one outside him going to help them and encourage them. He had a big heart. Jermaine joined New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries at a tender age. He worked with the youth department and participated in programs and sung in the New Generation Choir, was on the Drill Team and played the trombone with the Music Department. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Mr. Hurley Butler, Pauline Butler and Alvin Brock. Jermaine leaves to cherish his beautiful memory and legacy his three sons, Tayvion Williams, Tremaine Williams and Tyler Williams; parents, Richard Brock, Sr. and Paulette Wiggins (Harvey); siblings, Richard Brock, Jr., Porcha Wiggins, Zyion Thompson, Emmanuel Brock, Jaylen Brock, Shante' Joyner, Harvey Wiggins, Jr., Shawn Wiggins, Shawnese Johnson and Dominique Johnson; brother-in-law, Lamont Joyner; godsister, Tenisha Johnson; grandparents, Elise Carr and James Carr; aunts, Wanda Britt (William), Clara Weaver, Annie Banks, Sandra Arrington (Carter), Mary Ann Stephenson and Jeanette Artis-Stanley; uncles, Huley Butler (Paulette), Clyde Butler, Bobby Stephenson, Rodney Eure, Timothy Copeland and Tim Stephenson; and a special friend, Joquilla Woodley. A candlelight vigil will be held 5pm, Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Holladay Field, Suffolk, Virginia. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 pm, Monday, December 20, 2021 at New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries. Mr. Brock will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
