Janie Bell Ralph

Janie Bell Ralph 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at her residence. She was born on June 19, 1940, in Gates, NC to the late Mary Lee Whitaker and Allen Branch. She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Ralph, Sr. Janie Bell Ralph “Kitty as she was affectionally called” was a faithful housewife and a loving mother of eight children. She was a member of New Mount Joy COGIC, under the leadership of Bishop William P. Wiggins, Sr. Where she served on the Deaconess Ministry and Pastor Aid Ministry until her health began to decline. Kitty loved being around the family, having fun, watching T.V. and eating snacks. She also loved eating only chicken purchased from Kentucky Fried Chicken every Friday evening. She leaves to cherish her memories forever: two daughters: Barbara Beamon and Lolether Wiggins (Elward) of Suffolk, VA and six sons: Curtis Ralph, Jr (Edith), Ricky Ralph (Deborah), Marvin Ralph, Steve Ralph (Pauline) of Suffolk, VA and Terry Ralph (Jackie) of Spotsylvania County, VA and Antonio Ralph of Rockville, Maryland. Janie was an excellent grandmother to her eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. She leaves everlasting memories for her four sisters: Estelle Whitaker, Dorothy Boone, Mary Miles and Suzette Rodgers (Reginald) and four brothers: Jerry Whitaker (Phebe), Apostle Robert Branch (Yolande), James Branch (Ramona) and Vernon Branch (Vickie). Also, one brother-in-law: Vernon Ralph, Sr (Janice) of Suffolk, Virginia and a host of other relatives and friends. A celebration of life noon, Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
