Janet Faye Lawrence-Pennix

Janet Faye Lawrence, 53, of Clary's Drive transitioned Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Lucille Smith Lawrence and John Henry Lawrence.Faye was a graduate of Suffolk High School and attended Paul D. Camp Community College. She was a former employee of National and Smithfield Packing Company. She was a faithful member of Gates of Heaven C.O.G.I.C.She leaves to cherish her memory her spouse, Darryl Pennix; daughter, LaShonda P. WRight (Eric) of Suffolk; son, BoManley Quincy Lawrence of Suffolk; three sisters, Martha Lawrence and Dorothy Lawrence Jenkins (Wilmar) both of Seaford, Delaware and Beulah Lawrence (Michael) of Suffolk; three brothers, John T. Lawrence (Nellie), Robert V. Lawrence and Howard L. Lawrence (Anna) all of Suffolk; three grandchildren, Jermaine E. Wright, Eric James Wright, Jr. and NaShawn Wright; a host of other relatives and friends.A visitation with family will be held 6-7 p.m Friday, March 30, 2018 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Gates of Heaven C.O.G.I.C. Elder Sylvester Silver will deliver the eulogy. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
