James Powell

 James Rogers Powell, 69, of 309 Hill St, Suffolk, VA, transitioned on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Chippenham Hospital Richmond, Va. James was the son of the late William T. and Helen Marie Jordan-Lassiter and Charlie Lee Powell, Sr. 

He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Shalamar Powell, Grandchildren - Keion Powell, Aaliyah Powell,  Brothers - Charlie Lee Powell, Jr of Suffolk and Samuel D. Gamble (Lekecia) of Williamsburg. Sisters - Clementine Powell, Angela Wilson, and Linda Reid of Suffolk and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

 A viewing will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 2p.m.-6p.m. A homegoing will be on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Healing Chapel Baptist Church @ 1:30p.m. and he will be laid to rest @ Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery.
