James M. Hawk

James Matthews Hawk, 62 years old of Spruce Street Suffolk, VA departed Friday, December 29, 2023
at his home. He was native of Corapeake, and the son of the late Claude and Agnes Hawk. He was
preceded in death by his two brothers Roosevelt Hawk and Jonathan Hawk.
He was employed with Goodman Septic Tank before becoming disable in 2023. He was a hard worker
and loved to smile. He loved his family and never left anyone without telling them how much he loved
them. He enjoyed riding his three-wheeler moped around his community and laughing with his
friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife, Libby Hawk of Suffolk VA, stepson Leon Gibbons four brothers, Author Hawk of Corapeake, Nc., Edward Arline (Dorthoy), of Suffolk ,Va., Sonny Davis (Lois) of NJ, and Lonnie Norman (Sandra), of Franklin Va., one sister Josephine (Marvin) Cofield of Edenton NC; one brother-in-law Paul Gibbons of Suffolk, Va., and one sister-in-law, Paulette Savage (Ronald) of Suffolk Va., a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

 A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 1:00 p.m. in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
