James A. Boone

On Wednesday, January 19, 2022, James Anderson. “Harry” Boone, 87, passed away at Sentara Obici Hospital. Mr. Boone was born on August 6, 1934, in Suffolk, VA to Richard Robb Boone and Nancy Hodge Boone. He was educated in the Suffolk school system and graduated from East Suffolk High School. He retired from Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, after 31 years of dedicated service. Mr. Boone leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Chanda D. Boone, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and friends. There will be no public visitation. A celebration of life will take place on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Suffolk, Virginia. He will be laid to rest in the Mausoleum at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
