Isabell Powell

Isabell Powell, 82, transitioned from here to her eternal resting place on August 20, 2018. She was born in Louisburg, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Mary Lou Gary and Willie Harris. She was predeceased by her brother, James Arthur Wright, her sister Idabell Chapman and a daughter Barbara Ann Wright.As a homemaker, Isabell lived most of her life as a resident of Suffolk, VA. To her family and friends she was lovingly known as "Bell". She took great pride in maintaining her home and oening her doors to welcome anyone who walked through them. Throughout her life, she cheerfully helped family, friends, neighbors and strangers in any way she could.Isabell leaves behind to cherish her memory one daughter, Rosemary Blanchard (Keith); one son, Robert Wesley Powell (Thomasine-devoted friend); a God-given daughter, Latonya Miles, who blessed her with 4 God-Given granddaughter, Latoya, Danielle, Lesley, and Chantia; three biological grandchildren, Ashely Renne Thomas, Andrea Monique Brown, and Keith Antonio Blanchard, Jr,; seven great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. A wake will be held 5-7p.m. Friday, August 24, 2018 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held noon, Saturday, August 25, 2018 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. Pastor Keith Mayfield will deliver the message of comfort. She will be laid to rest in the Crocker Funeral Home Section of Carver Memorial Cemetery.
