Ida Goffigan

Our beloved Ida Marie Goffigan ( who was affectionately known by family and friends as "Sweetie") took her rest on Nov. 25, 2025. 

"Sweetie was born in Suffolk, Va. on Feb. 22, 1956 to the late Eley R. Stagg Sr. and Pearl Lethia Stagg.

She was preceded in death by her husband John K. Goffigan Jr., her father Eley R. Stagg Sr. as well as her brothers Eley R. Stagg Jr., Henry Stagg and Ricky Stagg.

"Sweetie" graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1976. She worked at QVC for 26 years until she took early retirement.

She will be greatly missed by many and leaves a legacy of love and memories to be cherished by her children Latoya Stagg, Sean Powell, her chosen children Tiffanie Goffigan, John K. Goffigan III and Jermaine Goffigan. Her granddaughters, Aaliyah Stagg, Samiya Smith, Jakiya Powell, Makayla Harper and Morghan Stagg; great-grand daughter Ava Thompson. Her mother Pearl Lethia Stagg and brother Everett Stagg (Roni). Sister-in-laws; Angela Stagg, Glennis Ruffin, Joan Jones, Valerie Barrett and Regina Goffigan-Odom and a host of family and dear friends.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 2p.m.-5p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, 12p.m. in the Melvin Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home followed by burial at Holly Lawn Cemetery.
