Hodges L. Franklin, 79, of Columbus Avenue, Suffolk, Virginia, transitioned on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation & Nursing. He was born on June 21, 1946 to the late A.B. Booker and Sue Booker in Virginia. Hodges was a man who loved life and was surrounded by a community of family and friends.
Hodges leaves to cherish his memories a daughter, Vickie Whitehead; extended family members, Reuben Joyner Jr. and the Joyner Family; and special friends Herman Hayes and Herbert Cheeks and other family members and friends.

A public viewing will be held from 2:00-5:00 pm, Friday, December 5, 2025, in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, December 6, 2025, at New Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Franklin will be laid to rest at Holly Lawn Cemetery.
