Harry Lee Darden, Sr.

Mr. Harry L. Darden Sr, son of the late Lee A. & Ruth Vaughan Darden , was born December 4, 1933, in Nansemond County, Va. and entered into eternal rest and peace , December 24, 2021, in Sentara CarePlex hospital, Hampton, Va. He was the husband of the late Beatrice Darden, a devoted and loving wife. ( Moma Bea ) , Harry had six loving children by the late Evelyn Darden Harris. We thank God for the many years that he was with us, Harry will always be in our hearts and never forgotten. He leaves to cherish his memories, One daughter, Pamela Copeland / Wayne; 5 Sons Harry L .Darden Jr / Sandra, Carrolton, Va, Larry A. Darden / Eugonda , Suffolk, Va, Gregory Darden / Della, Suffolk, Va, Michael L. Darden , Atlanta, Ga , Troy Darden / Frances , Chesapeake, Va, One sister in law, Lorraine Darden , Hampton, Va, and host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and friends. A public viewing will be held 1-4pm, Monday, January, 3, 2022 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 am, January, 4, 2022 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel. Rev. Larry Copeland will deliver the message of comfort. Mr. Darden will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
