Glenn Boone

On Wednesday July 24, 2024, God reached down and picked another one of his sons. His journey was done and God called him home. Glenn Boone slowly slipped away while in Sentara Obici Hospital.

He was born in Nansemond County, Virginia to the late James and Mary L. Boone.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Glenn Lamont Skinner of Suffolk, VA; four daughters, Shanita Turner (Jonathan), Shamika Goodman (Michael) of Suffolk, VA, Tierra Ricks and Ciera Ricks of Franklin, VA; five grandchildren, Gavin Goodman, Zy'Rihanna Williams (Zymae), Tae'Lynn Kearney, Thomas Williams, Jr and Isaiah Jones five brothers, Henry Artis, Floyd Boone and Darnell (Peggy) Boone of Suffolk, VA, Wilfred (Vernell) Boone of Virginia Beach, VA and Andrew (Karen) Boone of Portsmouth, VA; four sisters, Barbara Wilson of Chesapeake, VA, Sandria King, Glenda Boone and Rev. Lousie Watford of Suffolk, VA. Lastly aa host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Don't remember me with sadness. Don't remember me with tears. Remember all the laughter. We've shared throughout the years. Now I am contended that my life was worthwhile, knowing that I passed along the way I made somebody smile. When your are walking down the street and you've got me on your mind. I'm walking in your footsteps only a half step behind. So please don't be unhappy just because I'm out of sight, remember that I'm with you each morning and night.

 A viewing will be held 1-7 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2024. A celebration of life will be held noon, Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 4901 Deer Path Road, Suffolk, Virginia. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
