Geraldine Virginia Anderson

Mrs. Geraldine V. Anderson, affectionately known as “Shane Baby, ” transitioned peacefully on September 18, 2026, at her home. She was born on November 24,1954, to the late Mr. Willie and Mrs. Leola Mullen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Anderson, one brother, Willie Mullen Jr and three sisters, Alice Wilson, Willie Mae Thomas, and Alice Mullen.

She attended John Yates High School. She retired from Glendale Senior Citizens Home after 20 years and continued doing private-duty nursing over the years. She was a member of St. Mark AMEZ Church, where she served on the usher board. She was known for her fun and outgoing personality.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Danielle Mullens and son Antwanne Mullen (Gia); eight grandchildren, Jahniecia Mullens, Jahshad Mullens, Shaquandra Lawrence, Antwanne Mullen Jr., Dantwanne Mullen, Antiyanna Mullen, Toni Wise, and Dondreail Trotter. Six great-grandchildren: Janyla, Jahsier, Kyrin, Jaydn, Zailyn, and Jasai. One sister, Carol Joe (John Jr.) Two brothers: Ronald and Terry Mullen. Three goddaughters: Deborah Harris, Carol Mason, and Julia “Ju-Ju” Artis, who has been by her side every step of the way. One godson, John “Lil John” Harris. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A public viewing will be held Friday, October 2, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 12 p.m. at New Mt. Joy Food For Living Ministries. She will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family has entrusted Crocker Funeral Home, Inc., with services rendered with dignity, compassion, and care.
